Oooh Orange

When the Sinful Colors Sugar Rush Collection came out earlier this year, everyone was clamoring to get it.... I including me.  I was never one to purchase whole collections, but this is one of the few that I decided to bite the bullet and purchase all of them.  For .99 at the time, it didn't exactly send me to the poor house.

Any who, I'm wearing Orange Cream, a pastel orange with a very subtle shimmer.  The color seems similar to an orange sherbet or creamsicle and I like it.  I decided to jazz it up a little and make red dots with Sinful Colors Berry Charm and Wet n Wild Blank Pallet.  On my middle finger I added a little stud design and topped it all off with a coat of Just Ricarda Glossy Glam top coat.  Over all I was really happy with this manicure.  Until next time......happy polishing!!!!

Blue Holo Goodness

Ok, so I've had these 2 colors that I've been needing to wear for a while now...Breezy Blue by Sally Hansen and L.A. Girl 3D Effects in Brilliant Blue.  I had no idea what I wanted to do, I just knew I had to use these two colors, so I decided to do a dotticure.  Easy and simple!  I love how it came out.

The Breezy Blue is a frosty light blue (which I was oblivious to) because I don't usually do frosts and went on in two easy coats.  Brilliant Blue could have easily been a one coater , but I always do two. The dots on the Breezt Blue was done with my set of dotting tools.  Everything is topped off with a nice coat of Seche Vite.  Until next time....happy polishing!

Leopard and Neon

This manicure was inspired by someone I follow on Instagram...@madicures.  I thought it was cute and wanted to give it a go.  I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and China Glaze Champagne Kisses for the accent nail.  I think it came out really cute and I would definitely wear it again in the future.  The neon orange took 3 coats and for the glitter accent nail, I used two coats of glitter, a coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite.  Until next time....happy polishing!

Infra-red

It's not a holo type of day but I decided to wear one anyway.  I have here China Glaze Infra-Red from the Hologlam collection.  Love the holo goodness, but I wasn't too fond of this color so you know it didn't stay on long.  This was 2 coats with a coat of Seche Vite.  I don't know that I will be wearing this on it's own again anytime soon.  Maybe I can use it for nail art....we'll see.  Until next time.....happy polishing!

Christmas in August

Today I have one of my absolute favorite white based polishes.  It's Eggnogaholic by Girly Bits.  I love, love, love this color.  It's a creamy white with gold hex and tiny square glitter.  Whenever I want to take a break from the myriad of colors I wear, I reach for this color.  This is 3 coats with a coat of Seche Vite.  Until next time....happy polishing!

Mojito What!!!

This here is Essie Mojito Madness! As you can see it's green.  I used to have an aversion to greens until Essie started coming out with few awesome ones.  I always thought they looked great on everyone else.  The ones I had previously tried were just okay to me.  I happened to try Mojito Madness with an accent nail of Orly Sparkling Garbage and I am in love!! I just adore how these two look together. It will not be the last time I wear this combo!!  Until next time.....happy polishing!

Sugar Spun Nails

This is a manicure I wore about two weeks ago.  It's featuring the new Wet n Wild Pop Art Collection polishes.  I purchased them when they were on sale at Walgreen's for $.69 which was a steal.  These colors are gorgeous!!! I didn't know which color to start with so, I decided to try my hand at the sugar spun technique.  There are several YouTube tutorials for this.

For this mani I used Teal Slowly and See for the base and for the sugar spun effect I used The Clock Strikes Orange, Stand the Test of Lime and Who is Ultra Violet.  I did not use top coat on the nails with the sugar spun detail.  I absolutely love how these came out, so much that I kept it on for about four days.  For some that may not be a big deal, but for someone who changes their polish every other day, it's a huge deal!
Until next time...happy polishing!!!!
