Spring Street

Today's NOTD is Spring Street from the NYC in a New York Minute collection. It's bright cremeorange orange...just may be the perfect bright orange. I've been looking for an orange like this for a while. Application was a little streaky...this is 3 coats with SV top coat

NOTD: Double Fisted Fuchsia

Today, I have Double Fisted Fuchsia from Chi. Who knew Chi even made polish? Well anyway, as you can tell from the name....the color is beautifully bright pink....it's been in my untrieds for a while now. It has a pearly look to it....this is 4 coats because it is pretty sheer, on my ring finger is OPI turquoise shatter, all followed by a coat of SV(Seche Vite).

Until next time....happy polishing!

Kitchen Endeavors

Today I will be posting one of my kitchen endeavors....shrimp pot pies w/dijon roasted asparagus. I made this for dinner a few days ago and it was quite yummy. It was also one of the recipes that my hubby and I put in our wedding favor cook book. I absolutely love this recipe and it is a go to recipe if you want to look like you have been in the kitchen all day. Perfect for a dinner party. On the side I decided on asparagus, which I found a recipe on The Gastro-Lounge.  In the words of Rachel Ray...yummo!
So glad I have leftovers for lunch ;-)

Love 'em & Leave 'em

Today I have Color Club, Love 'em & Leave 'em,(although my label says Lobe 'em & Leave 'em)a very pretty tan leaning on golden holographic polish. It's very neutral and appropriate(at least I think so) for work. There are a rainbow of colors in this polish and looks gorgeous in sunlight, as do all holo polishes. This is two coats with a coat of Seche Vite.
Until next time...happy polishing!

Merry Midnight

OMG....I totally scored the other day at a salon I stopped in to get a pedicure. They had OPI Merry Midnight! I tried to see if they had any for sale, but no such luck, but they offered to sell me the bottle they had, which was about 75% full for $5...winning!!! LOL!!! So obviously, that is my nail of the day today. Merry Midnight is a pretty purple color with flashes of blue & purple glitter and flakies, absolutely beautiful. I applied three coats of MM and 1 coat of Seche Vite.
The pictures do not do this polish justice, you just have to see it in person...if you have a chance to buy this polish, I suggest you snag it. Until next time, happy polishing!

Zoya Dove

Today I'm wearing Zoya Dove, a cream grey color that is all the rage right now. The formula was kind of thin and streaky so I had to use three coats to get it fully opaque. I think this polish is work appropriate and when ever you feel like you need a break from darker colors. For my accent nail, I just added a coat of Teenage Dream.
Until next time happy polishing!

Steady as She Rose

The NOTD is from the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection. It's a dusty pink color. At first I had reservations on whether or not this would look good on me, and low and behold it really did. I accented my ring finger with the OPI Silver Shatter and I received plenty of compliments. It applied like a dream and I had to use three coats because it initially seemed streaky, but the third coat evened everything out. So I used a base coat, three coats of SASR and Seche Vite top coat.
What do you think? Until next time, happy polishing!

Oh no.....they're naked!!!

Hey all.....today I will be showing off my naked nails. Surprised to see them without polish I know. I have a little yellowing from wearing polish all the time, i'll have to find something to help with that. Anyway, here goes:
Until next time, happy polishing!

Zoya Valerie

OMG...I think I may have fallen in love!!! May I present to you Zoya Valerie. I absolutely love, love, love this color!!! It's a darkened purple, with shimmer, or glass flecks, whatever it is, I love it. I've had this for quite a while, but just decided to wear it. What the heck was I waiting on? This is base coato, two coats of Valerie and a coat of Seche Vite. Without further adieu:
It's almost as if she's glowing from within.....beautiful!!! Until next time, happy polishing!

4th of July Mani

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm a wee bit late, but better late than never I say. Well anyway, here is the mani I wore for the 4th. It is Nicole by OPI from the Justin Bieber collection, Me+Blue, a beautiful frosty blue with holographic shimmer. Can you say p-r-e-t-t-y? I loved this! For the accent nail I did Ulta's Bombshell which is a red jelly with holographic glitter, but the glitter is just a tad larger than in Me+Blue. As pretty as Me+Blue is, the formula was kind of on the thick side and the brush was not good at all, but I would definitely wear this polish again in a heartbeat!  I applied Nail Magic base coat, three coats of each polish and since the polish dries gritty, a coat of Gelous and Seche Vite.
Until next time happy polishing!

Diving for Pearls

Today I have for you Wet n' Wilds Diving for Pearls from the new Mermaids Cove collection. It's a pretty turquoise color leaning more on the green side with a slight shimmer. It's quite pretty and I think it looks great against my skintone. This was just a quick and dirty swatch, no base coat or top coat.
This is a very beautiful color and I can't wait to do a full mani with it. Until next time happy polishing!
