Leopard and Neon

This manicure was inspired by someone I follow on Instagram...@madicures.  I thought it was cute and wanted to give it a go.  I used China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and China Glaze Champagne Kisses for the accent nail.  I think it came out really cute and I would definitely wear it again in the future.  The neon orange took 3 coats and for the glitter accent nail, I used two coats of glitter, a coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite.  Until next time....happy polishing!

Excuse Moi!

Today I have OPI Excuse Moi from the muppets collection. I like this best from the collection. There was no problem with application and the glitter is kind of fine but still chunky. For top coat I used one coat of Gelous and one coat of Seche Vite

4th of July Mani

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm a wee bit late, but better late than never I say. Well anyway, here is the mani I wore for the 4th. It is Nicole by OPI from the Justin Bieber collection, Me+Blue, a beautiful frosty blue with holographic shimmer. Can you say p-r-e-t-t-y? I loved this! For the accent nail I did Ulta's Bombshell which is a red jelly with holographic glitter, but the glitter is just a tad larger than in Me+Blue. As pretty as Me+Blue is, the formula was kind of on the thick side and the brush was not good at all, but I would definitely wear this polish again in a heartbeat!  I applied Nail Magic base coat, three coats of each polish and since the polish dries gritty, a coat of Gelous and Seche Vite.
Until next time happy polishing!

Todays NOTD

Todays NOTD is Zoya Crystal. It's a turquoise color with gold glass flecks. I think it a beautiful color, just not sure I like it on me. There aren't too many glass flecked polishes I like on me. Not too sure why. Here goes:
This is two coats of Crystal and one coat of Seche Vite. I had a little shrinkage, but all is well. Until next time happy polishing!

I'm Back!!!

Sorry I've been away sooooo long. Getting this apartment together and taking care of some business has gotten me side tracked. Anyway, I'm here now. The color I have for you today is Ulta Material Girl. I absolutely love this color and I happen to think it looks great on me! It is a dark fuscia color with holographic glitter. I must say I love anything with holographic glitter in it. This is two coats of Material Girl, one coat of Gelous Top Coat and one coat of Seche Vite.

Notice the second picture is blurry so you can see the holo glitter. Just beautiful! Until next time happy polishing!

Sorry its been a while, but I had alot going on....my wedding and moving...now that everything is done, I can get back to blogging! Today I have for you from the Katy Perry collection...The One That Got Away. It's a sparkly raspberry color...wasn't sure how I would like this, but I think it looks pretty good on me. This is Nail Magic nail conditioner for the base coat, 3 coats of color and 1 coat of Seche Vite.

Well until next time....happy polishing!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects

I know these have been around for a while, but I finally decided to try them. They were 5.99 at my local grocery store. They are suppposed to last 10 days, but I doubt I will keep them on hat long because they are lifting at the base of my nail and snagging my hair...ouch!

I put a coat of SV to see how long it will last. Until next time happy polishing!

Across the Universe

Ok....this polish needs no words..but not everyone is a polish fiend like I am so I will give it a few. This is Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe, a chunky blue glitter that I adore. To get no visible nail line, you can either use about 4 coats of polish or layer it over blue, which is what I did. I used China Glaze Up All Night. Isn't she lovely(in my Stevie Wonder sing song voice..lol)

Because it's so chunky I had to use 2 coats of Seche Vite to smooth it out.
Thanks for checking me out, until next time...happy polishing!

Funky French

My inspiration for this mani came from Erica over at Chloe's Nails. It's OPI Lincoln Park After Dark Matte with Seche Vite for the tips. Still trying to get the hang of working with matte polish. You have to work fast. Mine didn't come out as good as Erica's, but I think it's pretty good for my first scotch tape mani!!
